MCC PRO40 LEAGUE

This Tournament was started in the year 2014 with an aim of providing opportunity to the players who train at various academies and clubs and yet not get enough exposure.

Five Teams take part in this league with each team getting to play the Double-League Format, which provides a great platform for the Cricketers to Play quality Cricket/Tournament. MCC is the first in the business to implement Sachin Tendulkar”s idea of Creating Opportunity for all the members in the squad.

Most of the Mumbai’s young players including Prithvi shaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal Arjun Tendulkar and many more Emerging cricket players are played for different teams in this league.

Cricket equipment company Twister was the Title sponsor for this league in season 2 and season-3.

Indian cricketer and IPL star Naman Ojha was the part of opening ceremony of season-3 and Inspired all the players with his Motivational speech

Wasim Jaffer vs JSF T20

India’s First Ever 20/20 Cricket Match on 8th Nov. ’06 at Indian Airlines Cricket Ground : Wasim Jaffer XI v/s. Jwala Sports Foundation XI.

After The 7/11 Bomb Blasts in Mumbai, the people of the city didn’t let down their hopes. Rather they stood tall with unity & integrity, which helped them to recover within a short span of time. This proved the world that all the “ Mumbaikars” have the common fighting spirit.

In a Nation where cricket is not just a game but a religion that holds the major population of the country on a common thread, To keep the spirit of Mumbaikar’s alive and high the MCC organized a cricket match between Wasim Jaffer XI and Jwala Sports Foundation. Most of the Mumbai Ranji Players like Wasim Jaffer, Vinayak Mane, Robin Morris, Vinayak Samant, Wilkin Mota, Bhawin Thakkar, Vinit Indulkar, Omkar Khanwilkar were a part of this match which was watched by over 5000 live crowd and many more viewers who watched the Live Telecast of the match in ZEE News, Star News, IBN, Sahara, E-Marathi, E-Uttaranchal, Doordarshan & Times Now. Big names like Mr. Abhiram Singh (Ex- MLA), NCP Mumbai President Mr. Sachin Ahir Were major Attractions in the VIP list for the game.
